Building a Sustainable Peace in the Negev is the theme for the team that will partner with BUSTANwww.bustan.org from March 30 thru April 10th, 2009. This is an opportunity for people interested in promoting peace and sustainable community to lend support to the indigenous people of the area while learning valuable permaculture skills and visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea and other places of interest. (The trip has been postponed as of March 25, 2009.)
Nurturing the Seeds of Peace is a women's peace initiative organized by a group of Quakers (Religious Society of Friends), Muslim, and Jewish women in the Washington, DC Metro area to bring together women from Israel, Palestine, the U.K,and the U.S to build solidarity and promote strong and innovative leadership.
