The Other Israel
BUSTAN www.bustan.org director, Ra'ed Al Mickawi, weaves his own story of growing up Bedouin Arab with the larger civil and human rights issues facing Arabs living in Israel today.  The organization's mission is based on the belief that genuine security in the region depends on developing both sustainable environmental resource allocation and sustainable relations between Jews and Arabs in Israel.  May 3, 2008 at two locations in Marlyand:  4 - 6 p.m. and 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.

Eco Peace Delegation to Israel/Palestine

Building a Sustainable Peace in the Negev is the theme for the team that will partner with BUSTAN www.bustan.org from March 30 thru April 10th, 2009.  This is an opportunity for people interested in promoting peace and sustainable community to lend support to the indigenous people of the area while learning valuable permaculture skills and visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea and other places of interest. (The trip has been postponed as of March 25, 2009.)
